Calendar Integration Overview:
Did you know that you don’t have to buy a digital planner that has calendar integration built in to it? You can quickly and easily add it yourself to any of your EXISTING digital planners, digital notebooks or digital templates. In this series I will show you how!
The beauty of creating it yourself is that you get to choose what you want to add, where to put it and what it looks like. Plus, it will take you only a couple minutes to set each one up.
Below you will find the links to each tutorial, plus the Free Icons and Storage Template.
I really wanted to create something that would be accessible for everyone. For the people who use an undated planner, bullet journal, or just want these features in their weekly planning template.
You can add an event, a reminder, and add a timer. You can view your events or reminders. You can mark reminders as completed too! I have made combinations of everything too. Plus these can all be put into your dock or home screen, so with the tap of your pencil, it will open up your document and add an event/reminder, etc. Use Google Calendar? There’s a tutorial for that. And then there are the AUTOMATIONS! Which means that you can have an email sent to you every day with your newly created events or reminders, so you never, ever miss things again!
Just pick and choose what you need, follow the instructions and that’s it! 25 tutorials plus free downloads. Have fun with it!
**You will need an Apple Device and the Apple Shortcuts App for these to work. These have been tested and used on Goodnotes, Notability, Noteshelf, Noteful and ZoomNotes
I have put a lot of thought and work into these tutorials to make them thorough and easy to follow. They have been tested and used by people who are not tech savvy or even knowledgable about digital note taking and planners. If they can do this, so can you!
ALWAYS CHECK THE UPDATES BELOW TO SEE IF THERE ARE ANY KNOWN ISSUES PREVENTING ANY OF THESE FROM WORKING AS THEY SHOULD

January 2025 – I want to remind you that when you are using your Apple Calendar on your iPad, other calendars (Gmail, Outlook, etc) can be imported into your iPad settings and then you would select that calendar’s name in the corresponding tutorials. This is an image of Adding a Calendar Account looks like on your iPad. This is under Settings / Calendar / Add Account

November 2025 – With the new ios26 windowing system, apps are not sliding over like they used to. You used to be able to toggle a button to have an app “slide over” and sit on another app. You may need to look at the settings in each shortcut to determine a particular placement of your window. This will really only apply to specific shortcuts that you create. All of the calendar reminders above do still work the same. however, if you ever run into an issue with windowing, that setting would be the place to look. See examples below.

June 22, 2026 – There was a bug in Goodnotes that began in September 2025, preventing users from doing Step 6 “Add a Link” This has been resolved!! Be sure to Update to Goodnotes version 7.0.66 and then watch the following videos.

In the videos I talk about having a place to store your shortcut code and icons, so I made you a handy template. The template is in black, gray or blissful. You can also download black and white icons to use to cover up the shortcut links. I have put more colors of the icons on my Free Sticker page, but remember the free stickers are for customers only and do require a password. Enjoy!
