Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions I get. Also if you have placed an order with me, remember there is an additional PDF titled “Installation and Troubleshooting.”

IT DOESN’T WORK

This is probably the top message I receive. So when you order and download a product, it is the exact same item that I am using and hundreds of other people are using as well because it is a digital product.

If it is working on my end, it should be working on your end. This is why, when I get messages such as this one, I can confidently let you know that it is probably a tech issue. If something doesn’t work as it should, or as it has been working, you need to check to make sure your app and tablet are updated. Restart your device. A lot of times, an update is on its way from the developers too.

MY HYPERLINKS AREN’T WORKING

If your hyperlinks aren’t working in any one of my digital products, make sure you are on Reading Mode, not Writing Mode. They will not work in Writing Mode.

WHY CAN’T I ACCESS THE DIGITAL STICKERS

The stickers on my Sticker Page are for customers only. The password is located on your Etsy Receipt and in some recent planners and notebooks, on the information page. If you have placed an order you can always send me a message in Etsy and I can give it to you. I do have some stickers on my Free Downloads page for everyone.

I TRIED THE FREE VERSION OF THE LANDSCAPE/PORTRAIT COMBO NOTEBOOK AND I CAN’T FIND THE FEATURE WHERE YOU DOUBLE TAP ON THE COIL TO ADJUST THE PAGE. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

You aren’t doing anything wrong at all. In Notability and Noteshelf, you just have to pinch your fingers in and out to re-size it to the page. Only GoodNotes has the double-tap to re-size.

DO I NEED TO USE DROPBOX TO DOWNLOAD YOUR PLANNER?

Yes, but you do not need to create an account.

ONCE I HAVE DOWNLOADED THE NOTEBOOK, HOW DO I SAVE JUST THE PAGES I HAVE USED AND NOT THE TABS OR OTHER PAGES?

You can export as a pdf the individual pages you want to save. If there’s multiple pages, go into the thumbnail view and select multiple pages then the export button. 

The tab dividers are part of the entire document – they aren’t separate. So they do show up on every single page since this is a digital notebook unlike a paper notebook where it is separate.

MY WRITING/DRAWING IS NOT WORKING LIKE IT WAS YESTERDAY

If you find things not working properly or like they normally do, make sure your app is updated to the current version. If it is still happening after an update, the developer usually gets right on it within a couple of days. If that doesn’t do the trick, make sure your device is updated.

A great resource is to join a Reddit Group for the specific app you are using. I know GoodNotes, Noteshelf and Notability have really active groups. People constantly post current glitches of things not working properly so at the very least, you won’t feel like it’s just you :-)

SOME OF MY STICKERS DO NOT HAVE A TRANSPARENT BACKGROUND.

I bet you saved them to your camera roll on your iPad. There is a big glitch that has been around for a long time where when you save a transparent PNG image to your camera roll, it turns it into a JPG with a white background. The workaround is to save the PNG images that you purchased from me to Dropbox or Files and then do a split screen and drag the stickers/images into your document.

I CAN’T SWIPE THROUGH THE NOTEBOOK/PLANNER. SOMETHING IS WRONG.

If you are not able to swipe, you have your settings set to vertical scrolling instead of horizontal scrolling.

I WOULD LIKE TO START USING DIGITAL PLANNERS OR NOTEBOOKS, BUT I AM AFRAID THEY WILL GET DELETED OR LOST.

The digital world has come a long way, it is hard to lose things these days. Some things you can do, though, to be safe is to enable “Auto Back Up” in the app you are using. You can also export your work as a single page or a full PDF and then save that to your computer or cloud. So technically you can save your completed notebooks or planners forever as a PDF. And… you can print those pdfs too!

DO YOU HAVE NEXT YEAR’S PLANNERS AVAILABLE YET? I LIKE TO PLAN 2 YEARS IN ADVANCE.

I don’t put out my planners too far in advance for a couple of reasons. 1. 99% of customers end up buying the wrong year, and 2. I usually have small design updates that I like to do. If I make planners too far in advance then I have to undo all of my previous work to make changes and then it takes even longer. However, you can download the perpetual calendar on my free downloads page to plan far in advance.

CAN YOU DESIGN A CUSTOM…..?

Currently I am not taking on any custom orders. I am in the process of rolling out so many new items, I just do not have the time. However, it never hurts to ask just in case.
